Vision
The Ministry resident serves the church by using their gifts to help equip and mobilize the body. This specific residency will focus on church leadership, worship, and administration.
Experience & Knowledge
- A growing knowledge of and confidence in handling the Word of God with accuracy and care (doctrinal clarity)
- Experience in leading leaders, groups of leaders, and various types of teams (leadership)
- A thorough knowledge and practice of the qualifications of a church leader and how God has gifted him to lead and serve the body (character)
- Experience in shepherding/caring for individuals and families (shepherding)
Functions & Responsibilities
- Helps to lead and facilitate corporate worship for Sunday gatherings
- Helps to ensure that all resources for the worship team and tech team are up to date and accurate
- Works in partnership with the Worship Director for any additional needs for the worship team
- Helps plan and execute church wide events
- Helps the Lead Pastor with various administrative needs
- Keeps pastors updated on any needs or concerns within the body
- Spends regular time developing college leaders and assists them in reaching other students (All residents)
- Participates in weekly staff meetings
- Completes assignments and trainings as given
- Helps serve the church in a variety of contexts as needs arise
- Regularly seeks to learn and grow as a leader
Typical week
- 20 hours - Ministry Experience (leading and serving in specific ministry areas)
- 10 hours - Christian Community (leading house church, being a part of huddles, Sunday mornings)
- 7 hours - Spiritual formation and Leadership development (through spiritual disciplines and residency training with Elementum)
- 8 hours - Theological Formation (seminary work)
Application & Assessment Process
- Phase 1 - Apply (10-15 minutes questionnaire to collect more detailed employment information)

- Phase 2 - Ministry Assessment (~60-minute questionnaire covering topics related to being a ministry worker)
- Once your application has been reviewed and approved, you will be sent an email with a link to complete your Ministry Assessment.
- Phase 3 - Local Interview
- An interview will be conducted by your local leadership. They will reach out to you to schedule.
Upon provisional acceptance, you will register for support-raising training run by Reliant to start your support-based ministry journey.
